Navigate between pages
Configure a button from Anlagenübersicht to Hauptseite and a return button, then test both directions.
1. Prepare the exercise
Create both pages first. Use no communication driver and leave both pages’ PLC page identifiers completely unconfigured, including connection, symbol and address. Navigation-only avoids the button’s ordinary switching command, but opening a target page can still write its separately configured page identifier. Clearing only the address may leave a symbolic assignment.
3. Select function and target
Open button function, choose Page navigation only (Nur Seitenwechsel) and target Hauptseite. Apply both dialogs and save Ctrl+S. This function displays initial text HAUPTSEITE; on/off state texts are not required.
4. Test navigation
Start F5 from Anlagenübersicht after checking simulation. Click HAUPTSEITE and confirm the target page. An empty main page is expected; the unconfigured global alarm message is unrelated. Back to editing returns to design mode; choose Anlagenübersicht again in the page list.
5. Add the return button
In design mode select Hauptseite and add a button: Navigation_Anlagenuebersicht, text ANLAGENÜBERSICHT, X/Y 20/80, size 159/36, rotation 0, opacity 100, no process fields. Choose navigation-only and target Anlagenübersicht, apply both dialogs and save. With no drivers or page identifiers configured, start F5 and test HAUPTSEITE followed by ANLAGENÜBERSICHT. The tank page should return. Grids were disabled separately for the screenshots; navigation does not hide them.
6. Common questions
Navigation is operated in Play mode, not design mode. Wrong destination: check the configured target, not the caption. A missing target page must first be created. Remember that target-page identifiers can write even when the button itself only navigates.
