Display a level as a number

Add a readable percentage below the bar inside the tank. The example still uses a fixed preview without a PLC connection.

1. Choose value output

Select Basic objects → Value (Wert), then Output (Ausgabe), not Input. Place beside the tank and double-click.

Choose Output (Ausgabe) for a numeric display.

2. Set properties

Use name Fuellstand_Tank_01_Wert, initial value 50, dimensions 120 × 30, rotation 0 and opacity 100. Leave the extra label and process fields empty. X=280/Y=250 is an initial location, not the final position under the bar.

Initial properties before naming and configuring the object.

3. Configure percentage output

Open Convert PLC value: linear two-point scaling, raw 0–100, output 0–100, unit %, decimals 0, DEC and preview x=50. Preview must show 50%. Apply. Bar and numeric display are separate objects: set both previews to 50. Their proximity does not link data. Later live use needs matching sources and scaling.

Clicking Preview produces 50 %.

4. Format readable text

Open Format text: System, 20 px, white #f1f5f7, Bold, Left alignment and no italics. The formatting preview may still show 0; use it to assess style, then check the actual value on the page. Apply both dialogs.

System font, 20 pixels, white, bold and left aligned.

5. Position and save

Move the number below the bar with clearance from the tank outline. Adjust bar length if necessary. Left alignment is within the number object; move the whole object to center it visually. Keep rotation 0 independently of the bar. Check 50% and a half-filled bar, then save Ctrl+S.

The result contains four objects: heading, tank image, bar and numeric output.

6. Common questions

For a missing %, enter the unit in Convert PLC value. If output stays 0, set the PLC preview there, not only initial text. Separate previews are not automatically linked. These values are not plant measurements. Continue with volume formulas or setpoint input.
