Insert and label a button

Prepare an on/off toggle below the setpoint field without assigning a process connection.

1. Insert a button

Choose Basic objects → Button, place it and double-click. Use Button_Tank_01, initial text EIN / AUS, X/Y 280/300, dimensions 120/36, rotation 0 and opacity 100. Leave Label and process connection/IP/symbol/address empty; retain BOOL. EIN / AUS is text, not a numeric write value.

Start from the left object palette.
Name and base caption are set; the process fields remain empty.

2. Set function, text and colors

Open Configure button function and choose Toggle on/off (Ein / Aus umschalten). On text EIN; off text AUS; off color #34424e; on #23bca2; pressed #178f7d; text #f1f5f7. Apply function and properties. Other choices include navigation, write on/off, bit operations, pulses and arbitrary values; return to Toggle on/off after browsing.

State texts are configured separately from the base caption.

Add your own support video button

  1. Insert a button, enter its caption and open its properties.
  2. Under Button function, select Start / stop support video. No PLC address is required.
  3. Apply and save the project. In play mode, click the button and choose where to save the recording. Click again to stop.

A configured support video button replaces the extra fixed start button. A fixed stop button remains available while recording, including after page navigation.

The PamaGlawe play view is recorded as AVI without audio: up to 1920 × 1080 pixels at 15 fps, with 90% JPEG quality. Smaller views are not upscaled. Slower computers may repeat frames. Higher quality uses more disk space. Recording stops after two minutes or at a size limit of approximately 500 MB.

The save dialog defaults to the project folder, or the Windows Videos folder for an unsaved project. Recordings remain local and are not sent automatically.

Recording quality and stuttering

The recorder targets 15 fps. If capture or processing cannot keep up, frames are repeated to preserve video duration. This can look like a pause followed by a jump. It does not by itself prove that the simulation stopped. Compare movement without recording and check CPU usage. Support videos are saved locally and are not uploaded automatically.

3. Check and save

The configured state text overrides initial text: AUS for off, EIN for on. Initial text is the fallback if a state text is empty. No process is assigned, so AUS does not prove equipment is off. Check placement, apply and save Ctrl+S.

The button sits below the setpoint field. The level display remains at 50 %.

4. No switching connection yet

The button does not automatically connect to the tank, bar or input. A configured runtime action submits a write request; its lasting color follows feedback. Pressed color is not proof of switching. Before real operation check variable, type, write values, permissions, interlocks and feedback. A button is not a safety enable. Continue with page navigation.

Keyboard shortcuts

Apply or close property dialogs, select objects on the canvas and leave any active text field before using an object shortcut.

Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V — copy / paste
Copies the selection and inserts an offset copy. Check names and process assignments afterward.
Ctrl+X — cut
Copies objects to the internal object clipboard and removes them from the page. Paste with Ctrl+V.
Ctrl+A — select all
Selects unlocked objects on the current page.
Arrow keys — move precisely
Moves the selection one pixel in the chosen direction within the page bounds.
Shift+Arrow — next grid position
Moves the selection in the grid direction using the page grid spacing.
Ctrl+L / Ctrl+Shift+L — lock / unlock
Locks the selection; Ctrl+Shift+L unlocks all locked objects on the current page.
Esc — end editor action
Cancels an action such as placement or clears the current selection.
Ctrl+S — save project
Saves applied changes. Save again after deleting, moving or copying.

The fixed global alarm area cannot be deleted or copied. Structural objects with assigned contents can ask an additional question about those contents.
